The foundation of Avani Group was laid in as a trading company dealing in products of industrial use. The vision, however, was to achieve greater heights. Buoyed by our initial success in trading and exports, we realized that the manufacturing sector offered great growth opportunities.
mild steel billets
A billet is a small, semi-finished piece of metal that is rectangular or square in shape. It is a semi-finished casting product that needs further processing before becoming finished goods.
pig iron
Pig iron is an intermediate product of the iron industry, also known as crude iron, which is first obtained from a smelting furnace in the form of oblong blocks.
sponge iron
Sponge iron is a metallic product produced through direct reduction of iron ore in the solid state. It is a substitute for scrap and is mainly used in making steel through the secondary route.
TMT Bars
TMT stands for Thermo Mechanically Treated. The TMT bars have a hard outer surface and a softer core. Their manufacturing process includes hot rolled steel wires passed through water. This helps in making the steel corrosion resistance and also increase its weldability.
Iron Pellets
Iron Pellets are a better feed for iron making as compared to other feeds due to its various benefits, which includes uniform size, high metallisation rate, increased permeability in blast furnace to optimise fuel consumption rate among others.
